THE HOUSE OF CHEESE – a tasteful place to visit
The House of Cheese is a modern visitor centre where the visitor is invited on a journey to explore the historical and present day saga of Västerbottensost.
Within the House of Cheese the sound, smell and taste contribute to create a full picture experience for each visitor.
- Café Elleonora, named after the originator of Västerbottensost, offers coffee and biscuits as well as a light lunch in pleasent surroundings.
- Conference opportunities Conferences for up to 60 persons can be held within the light and airy premises.
- In the Kingdom of Cheese our guests can dress up as cheese makers and create their own personalised cheese.
- Mr Bexelius’ chamber is open for anyone who would like to experience cheese, wine or whiskey tasting.
- The Cheese Cellar The dairy’s deep cellar vaults offer a variety of possibilities. For example you could learn the trick of cheese assessment by the cheese maker himself followed by a delicious meal.
